Amapianos — amapianos.com · Last updated: 31 May 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Amapianos (amapianos.com, the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses any feature of the Site.
Amapianos is operated as a community platform celebrating the amapiano music genre. It is not affiliated with any record label, management company, or talent agency.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to register and use the Site.
If we become aware that a user under the age of 13 has created an account, we will delete that account and all associated data without notice.
Parental Monitoring of Under-18 Users
While the Site is primarily a music and culture community, it contains user-generated content that parents and guardians should be aware of. We strongly recommend that parents and guardians actively monitor the online activity of any user under the age of 18 who uses Amapianos, particularly in the following areas:
- Gossip & Public Posts: The Gossip section contains user-submitted posts about DJs, artists, and the music scene. Content is moderated, but may occasionally include adult themes, strong language, or sensitive topics before review.
- Private Conversations: Registered users may exchange private messages with other users. Parents are advised to discuss safe online communication with minors and to supervise use of the private messaging feature.
- Dance Videos & Social Links: The Dance section includes links to external social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok). Amapianos has no control over content on those external platforms once a user follows a link.
- Community Playlists: Audio uploads are user-submitted. While uploads are subject to our content policy, parents should be aware that music content may contain explicit lyrics.
Parental responsibility: Parents and guardians are ultimately responsible for monitoring their minor children's internet use. If you discover that a child in your care is using the Site in a way that concerns you, or has been exposed to inappropriate content, please contact us immediately via the Contact Us form and we will investigate and act promptly.
We reserve the right to flag, restrict, or remove content that is determined to be inappropriate for younger audiences and to suspend accounts belonging to users who expose minors to harmful content.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current registration information
- Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately via the Contact Us page of any unauthorised use of your account
- Not create accounts under false names, impersonate another person, or use another person's account
- Not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans, voting limits, or competition rules
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, at our sole discretion, are being misused.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Site to:
- Post content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability
- Spread false, misleading, or deliberately deceptive information about any DJ, artist, or public figure
- Post private personal information about other individuals without their consent ("doxxing")
- Upload or share copyrighted audio, video, or other content that you do not own or have a valid licence for
- Engage in spam, unsolicited advertising, or commercial promotion without our written consent
- Attempt to access, scrape, or harvest data from the Site in automated bulk quantities
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Site
- Impersonate any DJ, artist, staff member, or other user
We may remove any content and suspend or ban any account at our discretion if these rules are violated.
5. User-Generated Content
The Site allows you to post gossip, comments, dance video links, wishlist entries, private messages, and other content ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you:
- Represent that you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to post that content
- Grant Amapianos a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote your User Content in connection with operating the Site
- Remain fully responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your content
- Acknowledge that public content (gossip posts, comments, dance videos) may be visible to all visitors
- Acknowledge that private conversations are end-to-end between participating users but are stored on our servers
We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any User Content. We reserve the right to remove any User Content at any time and for any reason, including legal requests, community standards violations, or at the request of the subject of the content.
6. DJ Rights & Removal Policy
Any DJ featured on Amapianos has the unconditional right to request the removal of their name, biography, profile, photographs, or any other identifying information from this Site.
We respect the autonomy and rights of all artists. DJ profiles on this site were created to celebrate and promote the amapiano genre, but we recognise that not all artists may wish to be listed without their explicit consent. Accordingly:
- Right to removal: Any DJ or their authorised representative may submit a removal request directly on the DJ's profile page (use the Request Removal button) or via our Contact Us page.
- Removal timeframe: We will action all verified removal requests within 7 business days of confirmation of the DJ's identity or their representative's authorisation.
- Scope of removal: Upon confirmed request, we will remove the DJ's name, biography, country of origin, real name, social media handles, and any associated posts or votes from public view. Historical voting data associated with that DJ will be anonymised.
- Verified profiles: DJs who have claimed and verified their own profile through our DJ Claim system retain full control over their profile content and may edit, update, or request deletion at any time.
- No commercial intent: Amapianos does not monetise individual DJ profiles and earns no revenue from their listing. DJ profiles are informational tributes to the genre, not commercial endorsements.
- Disputes: If you believe any content relating to you or your artist is inaccurate, defamatory, or otherwise harmful, contact us and we will address it promptly.
To submit a removal request: use the Request Removal button on the DJ's profile page — this triggers an automatic removal process. Alternatively, use our Contact Us form on the site.
7. Voting & Competitions
The Site hosts DJ voting, monthly Royalty voting (King, Queen, Prince, Princess of Amapiano), and Dance of the Month competitions. The following rules apply:
- Each registered user may cast one vote per category per voting period
- Vote manipulation through multiple accounts, bots, or automated means is prohibited and will result in account suspension
- Results are for community entertainment purposes only and carry no commercial or contractual weight
- We reserve the right to adjust, nullify, or recalculate results if we determine they have been manipulated
- No prizes, compensation, or benefits are offered or implied for winning any competition on this Site
8. Music Uploads
Registered users may upload audio files (MP3, WAV) to the Site's Community Playlists section. By uploading audio:
- You confirm you own the recording, have a licence to distribute it, or the track is in the public domain
- You confirm the upload does not infringe any third-party copyright, neighbouring rights, or performing rights
- Uploads of commercially released music without a valid licence are strictly prohibited and will be removed
- We accept no liability for copyright claims arising from your uploads; liability rests entirely with the uploader
- We may remove any upload at any time if we receive a valid copyright complaint or at our discretion
- File size is limited to 50 MB. Supported formats: MP3 and WAV only
10. Beat Studio & Community Beats
The Site provides a free in-browser 16-step beat sequencer ("Beat Studio") that allows registered and unregistered users to create amapiano beat patterns. Certain features (saving, sharing to the Beat Gallery) require a registered account.
Saving Beats
- Registered users may save beat patterns to their account. Saved beats are stored as JSON pattern data on our servers.
- You may choose to keep a saved beat private (visible only to you) or share it to the public Beat Gallery.
- You may delete any of your saved beats at any time from your My Beats page or from the Beat Studio. Deletion is permanent and immediate.
Beat Gallery
- Beats shared to the Beat Gallery are publicly visible to all visitors of the Site. Your username is displayed alongside your public beats.
- Other users may load your public beat into the Beat Studio and build on it. No automatic transfer of ownership occurs; each user owns their own modifications.
- Other registered users may like public beats. Like counts are stored and visible publicly.
- We reserve the right to remove any beat from the public Gallery that violates these Terms or our community standards.
MIDI & WAV Export
- Beat Studio supports export to MIDI (Format 1) and WAV (44.1 kHz, 16-bit stereo). Exported files are generated entirely in your browser; no audio data is uploaded to our servers.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that any musical elements incorporated into your exported beats (samples, chord progressions, melodies) do not infringe third-party copyrights before distributing exported files commercially.
Ownership
Beat patterns you create remain your creative work. By sharing a beat to the public Gallery you grant Amapianos a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and serve that beat pattern to other users of the Site. This licence ends when you delete the beat.
Voice Editor
The Site provides an in-browser Voice Editor that allows users to record microphone audio, apply processing effects (EQ, reverb, compressor, noise gate, de-esser, de-noise) and export the result as a WAV file. By using the Voice Editor:
- All recording, processing and mixing occurs in your browser using the Web Audio API. Raw audio data is never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly click Save to Profile.
- When you choose to save a voice clip, the audio file is uploaded to and stored on our servers linked to your account. You may delete saved clips at any time; deletion is immediate and permanent.
- Sample Pads allow you to load audio files from your own device into the browser session. Files loaded via Sample Pads are processed locally and are not uploaded to our servers unless you include them in a saved clip.
- You represent that any audio you record or load into the Voice Editor does not infringe any third-party copyright, right of publicity, or privacy right. You are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary consents before recording any third party's voice.
- WAV exports are generated in your browser and downloaded directly; no export data passes through our servers.
Beat Gallery
The Beat Gallery is a public listing of community-made beats organised into sections (New Beats, Old Beats, and Privates visible only to the owner and admins). By using the Beat Gallery:
- New Beats are public beats created within the last 7 days; Old Beats are public beats older than 7 days.
- Private beats are only visible to their creator and platform administrators. Marking a beat private does not prevent administrators from viewing it for moderation purposes.
- You may not misuse the Beat Gallery to distribute content that infringes copyright or violates community standards.
9. Private Conversations
The Site offers a private messaging system between registered users, subject to a request-and-acceptance model. By using private conversations:
- You agree not to use private messages to harass, threaten, solicit, or spam other users
- You acknowledge that messages are stored on our servers and may be reviewed by administrators in response to a formal complaint or legal request
- Private conversations are not encrypted end-to-end; do not share sensitive personal or financial information through them
- Users retain the right to decline any conversation request and to set their privacy preference (auto-accept, auto-decline, or manual)
11. Social Features, Collaboration & DJ Booking
Social Circles & Follow Requests
Social Circles uses a request-and-acceptance model. You may send follow requests to other members. Accepted connections may exchange private messages. You may mute messages from any follower at any time. Amapianos is not responsible for the content of private messages between users.
Collaboration Requests
You may send collaboration requests to other members via their profile page. All arrangements, agreements and payments related to collaborations are entirely between the parties involved. Amapianos does not mediate, facilitate payment for, or take responsibility for any collaboration outcomes.
DJ Booking
The DJ Booking tab allows DJs to advertise pricing and availability and allows other users to submit booking enquiries. Amapianos is a communication platform only. We do not process payments, guarantee bookings, or accept liability for disputes arising from booking arrangements. All contracts are between the DJ and the booker.
Group Announcements
Registered users may broadcast event announcements to the community. Announcements must relate to genuine amapiano-related events and must not be used for spam, commercial promotions unrelated to amapiano, or any content that violates Section 4 (User Conduct). Amapianos reserves the right to remove announcements that violate these Terms.
DJ Events & Appearances
Any registered user may post information about a DJ's upcoming events or appearances through the DJ Events section. By posting an appearance:
- You represent that the event information (venue, date, time, city, country, age restriction, entry fee) is accurate to the best of your knowledge at the time of posting
- A source link crediting your username as the poster is automatically generated and associated with the appearance — this is a reference link to the DJ's profile on Amapianos, not a guarantee of accuracy
- You may delete an appearance you posted at any time from the DJ Events page
- Posting false, misleading, or malicious event information (including fictitious venues, incorrect dates, or fabricated bookings) is a violation of Section 4 (User Conduct) and may result in account suspension
- Amapianos is a notice board only — we do not verify appearance listings and accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of posted appearance information. Always verify event details through the DJ's official channels before attending or booking
Private Parties & Party Types
Members may create, advertise and manage parties of several types — VIPs Only, VVIP, Get Together, Players & Divas, Dress White Only, and Big Spenders & Gold Diggers. By creating or attending a party you agree that:
- Hosts are solely responsible for their events — including guest safety, security arrangements, venue compliance, age verification, licensing, pricing, and refunds. Amapianos is a listing and communication platform only; it is not the organiser of any party and accepts no liability for private gatherings, attendance, payments, injuries, losses, or anything that occurs before, during, or after an event.
- VIP / VVIP eligibility: certain party types require a minimum follower count to host (e.g. 500 followers for VIP, 1,000 for VVIP). Verified DJs working toward the target may receive temporary approval at our discretion. These thresholds may change at any time.
- Entry, safety & rules published by a host (minimum age, pricing, security presence, guest/plus-one policy, drinks policy, refund policy, and house rules) are provided by the host. Amapianos does not verify this information and is not responsible for its accuracy or for the host honouring it, including any refunds. Payments and refunds for paid parties are strictly between the attendee and the host.
- Questions & concerns raised through a party page are directed to the party organiser and, where appointed and accepted, the organiser's nominated contact (who must be an Amapianos member that expressly accepts the responsibility) — not to Amapianos staff. The organiser and any appointed contact are responsible for handling them. Amapianos retains a copy of these conversations for a limited period (see Privacy Policy) for safety and dispute-resolution purposes only and does not actively monitor them.
- Off-platform invites: any Instagram or Facebook name you record to invite someone is stored with your party for your reference and to generate an invite message. You are responsible for how you contact people on third-party platforms and for complying with their terms.
Drug-Free Parties & Zero-Tolerance Policy
Amapianos promotes drug-free parties. Amapiano is about the music, the dance and the community — not substance abuse. As a condition of using the parties features:
- Hosts and attendees must not supply, sell, encourage, or use illegal drugs at, or in connection with, any party listed on Amapianos.
- Listings, descriptions, dress codes, or messages must not promote, advertise, glamorise, or facilitate illegal drug use.
- We encourage hosts to make their events explicitly drug-free and to arrange responsible security accordingly.
- Content that breaches this policy may be removed and the responsible accounts suspended or terminated. Suspected illegal activity may be reported to the relevant authorities.
- Always drink responsibly, know your limits, and look out for one another. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
12. Intellectual Property
The Amapianos name, logo, site design, and original editorial content are the property of Amapianos and may not be reproduced without written permission. User Content remains the property of the respective users, subject to the licence granted in Section 5. The names, likenesses, and trademarks of DJs and artists referenced on this Site remain the property of those individuals and their respective rights holders.
13. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. Any content on the Site — including DJ biographies, news summaries, and user posts — is provided for entertainment and community purposes and should not be relied upon as factually verified or professionally authoritative.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Amapianos and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount (if any) you have paid to access premium features of the Site.
15. Termination & Inactive Account Policy
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Site immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately.
Voluntary deletion: You may delete your own account at any time from your Profile page. You will be asked to confirm the deletion and enter your password. All personal data will be permanently removed.
Inactivity auto-deletion: To protect your data and keep the platform healthy, accounts that have not logged in for 18 consecutive months (548 days) will be automatically and permanently deleted, including all associated posts, votes, messages, and uploaded media.
- 12-month warning: If your account has been inactive for 12 months (365 days), we will send a warning email to your registered address notifying you that deletion will occur in approximately 6 months unless you log in.
- 18-month deletion: If no login is recorded within 18 months of your last activity, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted without further notice.
- Logging in at any point resets the inactivity clock.
- Promotional or verified DJ accounts managed by the platform administration are exempt from automatic inactivity deletion.
16. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by posting a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision.
17. Contact
For all legal enquiries, DJ removal requests, copyright notices, or Terms-related questions, contact the site administrator:

- Contact form: amapianos.com/contact (registered users)
- Response time: We aim to respond to all enquiries within 5 business days. Verified DJ removal requests are processed automatically upon submission.
